The Full English, Explained

The Full English breakfast — sometimes called a "fry-up" — is a centuries-old institution. A proper fry-up typically comprises eggs, back bacon, sausages, baked beans, toast, grilled tomato and mushrooms. Black pudding remains divisive but essential to purists.

Regional variations abound: the Scottish adds haggis and potato scones; the Welsh includes laverbread; the Irish swaps black pudding for white.
